SIMPLE EXPLANATIONS |
However, as the e-commerce continues to evolve, e-commerce affiliates are no longer restricted to website owners. Bloggers and members of different online community forums can be affiliates as well. Many emerging affiliate programs are now accepting bloggers and individuals, not necessarily webmasters, to be affiliates.
Affiliates can also be referred as publishers. Affiliate marketers don't necessarily have to be affiliate marketers specifically. Sometimes such marketers can actually be the e-commerce web site that actually sells the products and services. The advantage of this method of marketing is that it cuts out the middleman but it does require the affiliates to have a high degree of trust in the software and people behind the e-commerce web site in question.
1:1 Ratio = For each site you surf, someone else will visit yours. Credits are earned on a 1 visit/1 credit basis.
3:1 Ratio = Visit 3 sites to earn 1 credit
Some of the Trafffic Exchange Provider will assign credit to you as a signup bonus and you can start advertising immidiately . With the exception of a few, most Traffic Exchange's don't pay you cash to use them, they pay you in credits, which are then used to "Purchase" visitors for your own site. Although you don't earn cash per click, most of these sites will pay you a commission if you have a referral that upgrades ( sometimes up to $10 comm. ) to something other than a basic membership, or purchases an advertising package of their own. All are free to join, with no requirement to upgrade, but upgrading gains you many bonuses, which are very usefull if you are planning on buying advertising.
Another great bonus to using Traffic Exchange sites, are the bonus pages. Mostly after surfing for certain times , bonus will be given accordingly . The amount varies from site to site. Most bonus pages offer you extra credits, free text link ads, free banner impressions, and even free cash!
Remember ! If you're working just by yourself , the credit and cash or whatsoever are moving very slow and limited . Just like PTC/PTR sites , The more people you refer to use their service , the faster credit & cash you will earn . Build your own comunity list . Click on the sidebar to learn more .
Responses to solo email ads are generally excellent and are well received, and by far, one of the most effective means of advertising. Members will receive an email with your ad in it, and earn a generous amount of hits/points for clicking on a link directing to your website.
Although autoplaying audio and video is NOT permitted into our surf rotation, it's fine in a solo email ad, as are sites that break frames and use popups - the only sites not allowed in a solo ad are sites that have adult content (or offensive/inappropriate content) and/or spread viruses.
Safelists are services that users can signup for and send "solo email ads" to other members of that safelist.
In order to be a member of any safelist, you need to be willing to accept emails from the safelist members - therefore it's not considered "spamming". Traditional safelists are typically not very effective at all. Many times you'll get stormed with 100's of emails per day, and you'll end up deleting 99% of them without even looking. Afterall, there is no "incentive" to look at them.
With solo email ads, there IS typically some kind of "incentive" to look at the email and click to view the advertisers website. You will usually receive a link in the email, which when clicked, takes you to the advertisers web page and automatically assigns you free credits that you can in turn use to advertise your own web pages.
Me myself have yet to find any traditional "safelists" that have ever produced results. I am highly recommend that you use caution when joining those types of safelists, as there are some that are not very ethical and make it nearly impossible to opt out of, and (I'd suspect) sell your email address to actual spammer.
Pay Per Click (PPC) is an Internet advertising model used on search engines, advertising networks, and content sites, such as blogs, in which advertisers pay their host only when their ad is clicked. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. Content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding system.
Websites that utilize PPC ads will display an advertisement when a keyword query matches an advertiser's keyword list, or when a content site displays relevant content. Such advertisements are called sponsored links or sponsored ads, and appear adjacent to or above organic results on search engine results pages, or anywhere a web developer chooses on a content site.
Paid-To-Click is an online business model that draws huge amounts of online traffic from people aiming to earn from home. Paid-To-Click, or simply PTC websites act as middlemen between advertisers and consumers; the advertiser pays for displaying ads on the PTC website, and a part of this payment goes to the consumer when he views the advertisement.
The viability of the PTC business model has been questioned, as fraudulent clicks have ramped up the expenses for advertisers.[1] With lawsuits filed against the internet search companies, the burden has been placed on Google, Yahoo and others to determine the valid clicks from the fraudulent ones,[2] although PTC site may just be used as advertising, to direct traffic to one's site.
Scams although exposed on various PTC forums are still heavily used by new-comers who are drawn in to the websites by search engines. Scam PTC sites are known to attract new users with cheap offers for upgrade and referrals and disappear without trace after a short time. If you subscribe to a new site it is wise to be aware of those signs.
